Lone Star Grillz "Brisket Smoked Queso"
Remember to always wash your hands prior to preparing. Use food grade gloves where appropriate to prevent contamination.
Recipe and Ingredients:
- Protein: You can use Brisket like we did, or pre-cooked ground beef, chicken, pulled pork etc. You will need 1-1.5 pounds depending on your preference.
- 8 oz. of Pepperjack Cheese (cubed in 1” size)
- 16 oz. of Cheddar Cheese (cubed in 1” size)
- 16 oz. of Velveeta or an equivalent melting Cheese
- 10-12 oz. of Diced Tomatoes w/Chili’s
- 2 small or 1 large Chopped Onion
- 2 Chopped Jalapenos
- 1 handful of Chopped Cilantro
- Season the top of all this in the tray with our Lone Star Grillz “South of the Border” Rub
DIRECTIONS:
- Place all contents in a 9x13” or medium sized foil pan.
- Pre-heat your smoker to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once smoker is fully pre-heated, place the foil pan on smoker, close lid and allow to smoke for one hour.
- After one hour, stir everything together well, place back on smoker for one more hour.
- Remove from smoker, allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, SERVE AND ENJOY!
