Lone Star Grillz “Country Style Ribs”
Remember to always wash your hands prior to preparing. Use food grade gloves where appropriate to
prevent contamination.
Recipe and Ingredients:
- Country Style Ribs (Bone-in or Boneless)
- Olive Oil (as a binder if you wish)
- Your favorite BBQ Rub/Seasoning (Or use a homemade version of equal parts Sea Salt, Ground
Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Paprika, and ½ part Cayenne Pepper for OPTIONAL
HEAT)
- Your favorite BBQ Sauce
DIRECTIONS:
1) Season Ribs generously on all surfaces with Rub (You may coat with Olive Oil 1 st if you wish)
2) Allow to sit and absorb Rub while you pre-heat your Smoker
The Cook: Approximate time 3 hours
Pre-heat your Lone Star Grillz Pellet Smoker to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. Once pre-heated, place Ribs on the cooker and be sure to allow space in between for smoke to travel and coat. Allow to cook for around 90 minutes - two hours for the exterior to firm up and bark to set, then place them into a foil pan and generously apply BBQ Sauce.
Cover the pan and place it back on the cooker for approximately one hour or until the Ribs probe tender. Once they probe tender (195-205 degrees Fahrenheit usually) set up your Lone Star Grillz Pellet Smoker for Searing by sliding over the searing plate/cover and switching the cooker to “Manual Feed Mode” which can be done from the App or the controller.
Allow it to heat for 10-15 minutes, then sear the Ribs for 30-60 seconds per side. Allow to cool, SERVE AND ENJOY!
