“Lone Star Grillz Meatball Skillet"

Remember to always wash your hands prior to preparing. Use food grade gloves where appropriate to prevent contamination.

Recipe and Ingredients:

  • 2.25 lbs. of 80/20 Ground Beef/Chuck
  • ¼ cup Dried Basil
  • 4 cloves of chopped Garlic
  • 1 medium sized finely chopped Onion
  • 1.5 Tsp. dried Oregano
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 Tsp. LSG Texas Fusion or Salt/Pepper
  • 1.5 cups Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 1 cup grated/shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped Parsley
  • 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce or you can use Marinara Sauce
  • Mozzarella or Provolone Cheese for melting on top of the skillet

DIRECTIONS:

ALWAYS START BY WASHING YOUR HANDS PRIOR TO PREPARING ANY FOOD FOR FOOD SAFETY.

Steps:

  • In a large bowl (for mixing the meatballs) add ground beef, basil, garlic, onion, oregano, eggs, Texas Fusion (or salt/pepper), breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley and mix well with your hands until everything is well-combined and sticks to your hand/glove. This is how you’ll know it’s ready for forming meatballs.
  • Form Meatballs into 2.5-3.0-ounce portions.
  • Pre-heat your smoker/grill to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (or in that range).
  • Place Meatballs onto grill and allow them to cook for approximately 60 minutes or until they reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit in the center of each meatball.
  • Place Meatballs into a 12” round cast-iron skillet, cover with BBQ/marinara sauce, top with cheese.
  • Melt in grill/smoker until done to your liking.
  • SERVE AND ENJOY!
