Lone Star Grillz “Memphis Style Hot Dogs”

Remember to always wash your hands prior to preparing. Use food grade gloves where appropriate to prevent contamination. 


Recipe and Ingredients: 

- Good Quality, All Beef Hot Dogs
- 1 Slice of Bacon per Hot Dog (use something not too thick & not too thin)
- Hot Dog Buns (we used open face Brioche, but use your favorite
- Your favorite BBQ Sauce w/sweet notes (sweet is the signature of Memphis BBQ)
- Chopped Red Onion
- Chopped Jalapeno
- Chopped Green Onion
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- LSG Texas Bold Rub (or your favorite run w/sweet notes)


DIRECTIONS: 

  1. Wrap each Hot Dog in a slice of Bacon, secure with a toothpick on each end.

  2. Cover the entire outside with LSG Texas Bold Rub.

  3. Pre-heat your smoker to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.

  4. Place Hot Dogs on Smoker once pre-heated.

  5. Allow them to smoke for 60-75 minutes or until the Bacon is done to your liking for texture.

  6. Remove Hot Dogs from the Smoker, place them on buns, add toppings, ENJOY!
