Lone Star Grillz “Ribs for Beginners
Remember to always wash your hands prior to preparing. Use food grade gloves where appropriate to prevent contamination.
Recipe and Ingredients:
- Baby Back Ribs
- Olive Oil (as a binder if you wish)
- Your favorite BBQ Rub/Seasoning
- Your favorite BBQ Sauce (if you like sauce)
- Apple Juice/Water 50/50 mixture for spritzing (if you wish)
DIRECTIONS:
- Unpackage Ribs, pat the entire surface with a paper towel.
- Trim any unwanted areas.
- Remove membrane using a butter knife and paper towel. (shown in video)
- Season generously with your favorite BBQ Rub.
The Cook: (this cook normally takes 1.5-2 hours per pound)
Pre-heat your Lone Star Grillz Pellet Smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Once pre-heated, place Ribs on the cooker. Allow them to cook, spritzing occasionally with a mixture of 50/50 water/apple juice (if you wish).
Once the Ribs probe tender (usually between 195-203 degrees, apply sauce (if you wish, then allow 10 minutes to set) or remove from cooker, wrap in foil and rest for one hour. Slice with a sharp knife, serve and enjoy!
